I’ve always been inherently fascinated by the same re-occuring urban places of building projects, walls, bridges and underpasses. They resemble the gaping wounds of time and the very existence of our society in the form of graffiti and decay.
Rotting urban landscapes reveal the most unintended beauty. My passion is to capture these melancholic and neglected spaces. My present surroundings and memories of places mingle and infuse within the paintings. Time is essential for my creative process.
